It is embarrassing. I’m not quite sure why it still is, but the line “OMG I totally died of embarrassment” that my friends and I used to say when we were tweens seems so out of order now.
What are the warning signs of colorectal cancer?
- Blood in or on your stool (bowel movement).
- Persistent stomach pain, aches, cramps, or bloating that won’t seem go away.
- Losing weight and you don’t know why.
- Extreme fatigue
The best way to detect colorectal cancer in it’s early stages (before you notice it) is with a colonoscopy. Having a polyp removed is far less embarrassing than having your colostomy bag leak while you’re in line at the grocery store or out to dinner in a fancy restaurant. I’m just sayin…
