Frank – I had a whole section that I edited out regarding Transit Time: so the short version is that it takes about 18-24 hours from the time you put it in to your mouth to when it comes out the other end. If it takes longer, then there is something wrong with your digestive tract and if it is less than 18 hours, then something is irritating your colon and it is probably inflamed.
Here is a quick in home test: go to your local health food store and buy some activated charcoal (great for food poisoning and gall bladder related reflux), take 4 capsules with a meal and note the time. Continue to examine your stools until you see a change to black or dark grey from the activated charcoal, note the time again and check how long it took.
