When you’re going through chemo you’re usually too tired to cook, which makes the microwave all the more tempting, but how ironic is it to spend all that money on high nutrition foods only to pop them in the microwave and zap out nearly all the nutrition?
That’s what makes this third one on the kitchen list my favorite. I got myself a basic toaster oven and I love it, but I came across this one the other day and like the built in bagel toaster feature. Quick and easy to toast up something, slab some protein on it and be done. They do a great job of grilling meat too. I could put a good sized Rib-eye or a couple chicken breasts in it and they’d be done to perfection in no time. Cooking for myself was a source of pride. These items just made it so much easier to keep it up.
Again, I know this sounds boring, but to liven it up you could add a dozen bagels and something more unique than peanut butter like Sunflower or Almond butter. I tried both and even with the chemo taste in my mouth I could still enjoy them quite a bit.
